College of Rehabilitation Medicine is the chairman unit of Child Rehabilitation Specialty Committee of CARM(Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine), the chairman unit of pedo-cerebral palsy rehabilitation specialty committee of CARD (China Association of Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons),the unit of Culture and Technology Cooperation Project of Heilung-kiang province and Hokkaido Japan, Redo- nerve and Psyche disease Research Institute of Heilung-kiang province,Rehabilitation Medicine Talent Training Base of National Ministryof Health, the unit of national and provincial introducing inteligience project from abroad , and the demonstrative bases of introducing foreign inteligience outcome of Heilung-kiang province. Rehabilitation Medicine and Physical Medicine are provincial key disciplines. As the first College of Rehabilitation Medicine in our country ,her birth was the important milestone for the development history of rehabilitation medicine in china. According to the need of the society, to cultivate a large number of rehabilitation medicine talents with hypso- diathesis.,new ideas and better ability and enroll students from all parts of the country. With the concern and help of every leader and the strong support form Sapporo Medical University in Hokkaido, Japan, College was established.Japanese party sends experts to our college every year to give lectures in person, impart technique and train 1-2 teachers for us to Japan for advanced study. Sino-Japanese friendship association supplys scholarship for ten students of our college every year.

　

Faculty&Staff

There are 26 existing teachers in the college (except special appointed professor ,part-time professor, foreign professor and
uniyersity sharing teacher ).The average age is 37.23.There are 8 professors, 3 associate professor. Among them, there are 4 teachers with master’s degree , 2 ones studying for master’s degree , 1 studying for doctor’s degree ,3 master’s tutors, 11 full-time teachers, 1 university great master. Most of teachers had trained abroad. College also invites foreign experts as our guest professor or part-time professor,to assume teaching tasks for our postgraduate and graduate students.And College is applying the right to confer doctor’s degree for rehabilitation medicine and physical medicione. Discipline leader professor xiaojie Li obtained many honors such as Medal of May Day l., Provincial Excellent Teacher, Provincial Excellent Communist, t Intelligentsia with Special Contributions to Jiamusi city , Jiamusi University Excellent Teather, Excellent Commist etc. There is 1 teacher obtaining ” 3 education ” model and 8 ones gaining University Excellent Teacher in our college.

Nursing Specialty

College of rehabilitation medicine of Jiamusi University established in August,1999. The antecedent is Jiamusi Medical college with the first prevention and treatment center for CP children and more than 50 years history. The college licensed by Heilung-kiang province education committee and recorded in Country Education Department began to enroll four-year nursing undergraduate students in September, 2000. For years, with the development of rehabilitation medicine and exchanges of medical model, College always directs nursing specialty construction with features of rehabilitation nursing. Rehabilitation nursing is a newly emerging subject , its mainly service objects are disabled people and people in senile disease.and chronic disease, and its goal is to recover their bodies ,spirits and social functions and improve their life quality . Rehabilitation Nursing teaching reflexes morden education concept, emphasizes the cultivation of students’ ability and diathesis, inspires students’ cognitive need on a high level , trains scientific thinking ability,attach importance to Psychological Nursing to meet the need of large medical institutions and rehabilitation centres. Nursing undergraduate of College of rehabilitation medicine is the first cradle of cultivating rehabilitation medicine talents. The joint operation of Sapporo Medical University and us makes up the lacking of teaching materials, experience and Faculties and explores a new way for cultivating rehabilitation medicine talents.

Core course: Human body biology ,Cytology, Anatomy,Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Biological ethics, Sanitary codes, Health statistics and so on. In addition some public courses : Politics,English,PE.
Speciality course:Rehabilition nursing, Internal medicine nursing, Surgery nursing, Pediatrics nursing, Department of gynecology nursing, Nutriology, growth and development, Communication.Traditional, Chinese medical science, Nursing. Community health,Nursing research, Nursing education, Nursing management and so on..
In nursing speciality ,if a student studies 4 years,completes all the courses ,passes the examination, replies the thesis, finishes rated elective course credit and consistents with regulation from university, they will be approved graduation and awarded graduation certificate and bachelor's degree.
The graduates will be engaged in clinical nursing, nursing education, nursing research.and nursing management. Employment orientation:hospital, nursing education element of medical college, solely owned or joint stock medical establishment.

Rehabilitative Therapist Specialty

Rehabilitation is a newly rising medical subject. while it has been developed in the developed countries for more than 60 years, it has been developed only about 20 years or so in our country;however, it shows the tendency of rapid growth in recent years. The main objects of rehabilitation serves are people with disability,the persons with senile disease or chronic functional impairment. The goal of the rehabilitation is to revive function of the body,the spirits and social activities . According to the present facts of domestic rehabilitation,comparing with foreign data,our country needs at least 30,000 physiatrists ,and 300,000 rehabilitation therapists.So the specialized subject has a notable feature. At present,it is urgent for our country to solve the problem .It explores a personel training mode adopting to the requirements of the development of our rehabilitation, transforming the simple biology mode into the biology-psychology-society mode.Consequently,developing the education and nurturing the experts in rehabilitative treatment are oriented to the objective situations as well as the requirments of the medical education project.

Our college began to recruit students majoring in rehabilitative treatment in 2001. Our college trains students associating with Sapporo Medical University Hospital, which shows the character of our collegel,and gains successful experience and dramatical effects in teaching. We enrolled 69 students majoring in undergraduate course in 2004. there are 17 full time teachers in Rehabilitation Teaching and Research Section, including 5 full professors, 2 associate professors , 1 special appoined professors, 1 part-time professor,1 doctor still learning , 2 masters still learing. Our faculty are from that of rehabilitation college, and our facility in relative teaching and research section are shared.The area of teaching lab is 268 square meter, in which there are four various kinds of functional labs. the worth of all the equipments adds up to 678,120 RMB.
Many of the teachers undertake a part-time social duty in this field ,taking an active part in domestic and foreign academic meetings ,who are inviteted to give lectures throughout the world. Backbone teachers can make the academic communication in English,Japanese and Russian proficiently. We send 1 to 2 teachers to go another institution for the advanced study for 3 to 6 months ,or to attend the national training class, purposefully and designedly every year. We also sent 1 teacher abroad to gain the advanced training and study. it makes the teachers and students have the chance to get the latest information, learn and master the leading-edge theopy and technology, and it also promotes Innovation education and quality education actively.
According to the rehabilitation therapist development program of Ministry of Public Health , we draw on the experience from the foreign countries, especially Japan, addition to other colleges in our country. Moreover, we base ourselves on basic condition and feature. A ccording to social demands, we make an systematic argument and scientific analysis. We proceed from strategetic development and sustainable development, making it clear to character of cultivating students, making training aim and courses of four-year undergraduates majoring in rehabilitation. undergraduates majoring in rehabilitation undertake common rehabilitation and therapy task, and qualify children rehabilitation and therapy task, and go in for physical therapy, ocucupational therapy, speech therapy.The courses also include humanities, psychology, pedagogy, Evidence-Based medicine, sociology, phoronomics, rehabilitation engineering.
It covers the lack of teaching materials and experience and the relative shortage of persons qualified to teach;furthermore, it breaks a new ground to train the physiatrists and rehabilitation therapists by associating with Sapporo Medical University Hospita . Japanese party makes the distribution of educational materia in two languages (Chinese and Japanese) for our college. it not only solves the problems lacking teaching materials, but provides valuable reference materials for our college.

 

Laboratory Construction

At present , the area of coverage of our complex laboratory for teaching is 540.94 sq.m.,including 9 various of fuctional laboratories. The gross value of instrument and equipment laborator is 6.5963 million RMB, and the total number of equipments in good condition is 466. Constructed and developed over several years, the area of labs and equipments meets the needs of teaching by and large. They are in the front rank at home and abroad, acquiring the recognition from domestic and foreign experts. All the experimental items are accomplished according to the program and the quality . Making full use of Minds –behavior labs, neuro-electrophysiology research room and other research conditions of our hospital, on the base of mastering basic experimental mathods and ways, associating with clinic,the students know and inrich the knowledge and technology of scientific research.

It covers the lack of teaching materials and experience and breaks a new ground to the physiatrists and rehabilitation therapists by associating with Sapporo Medical University Hospital. Both sides make instructional program for rehabilitation in correspondence with realities of our country. Japanese party makes the distribution of educational materia in two languages (Chinese and Japanese) . Sapporo Medicine University sends senior members to explain the specialised knowledge and technology to the students. Many full professiors and associate professiors give lessons about specialised theory and conduct experimental skill for the students majoring in Rehabilitation Therapy and Rehabilitation Nursing.

Laboratory Construction

In recently five years ,based on virgin condition ,showed superiority and　threw into more fund to improve laboratory,constructed important laboratory of Jiamusi university—children's nerve rehabilitation laboratory,it is consist of nerve biochemistry,nerve immunity ,nerve cultivation, molecular biology, brain with behavior and nerve electrophysiology.Most money and energy is spent on constructing brain with behavior and nerve electrophysiology laboratory,the area is two thousand quadratmeters.Our college applyed for important laboratory in Heilongjiang province in december,2004, experts have evaluated our college and given high appraise.
we have high performance liquid chromatogram(HPLC) analysator,brain function biofeedback equipment,visual frequency brain electricity,dynamic state brain electricity,repetition transcranial magnetic stimulus equipment ，transcranial Doppler(TCD), induced potential equipment,EEG, brain electrical activity mapping equipment, ultrasonoscope , language workstation, earlier period language exploitation system, earlier period intelligent exploitation system,equilibrium function test system ,children intelligence quotient test system,children attention test equipment, γarithmometer, high speed centrifuge, hypothermy refrigeration centrifuge, high-quailty microscope and refrigerator so on，they worth 8,596,300 yuan.Besides we have pick-up camera and other equipments nearly forty.
